Goal: make the above.
I’m in full scale development of a modern replica gauge line as a love note to the classic analog originals. The main issue: Lamco gauges are scarce and everyone still seems to want them. So I’ve made a crazy decision: I’m just going to rebuild the gauges ground up, with some sugar and spice.

Coined “Lamco 2.0” I’m rebooting the brand with a new super-custom offering.
New gauge housings are the same dimensions as the originals, high-end 3d printed in carbon-infused nylon and use a 32bit microcontroller to drive OEM grade stepper motors for needle control.
I’ve gone for visual authenticity with some internal modernisation. I’ve written the software and firmware myself and offer full LED backlight colour and brightness control via mobile web interface on your phone (so you can perfectly match instrument cluster light). I'm sampling the tried and trusty AEM sensors using 32bit microcontroller, achieving accuracy within 1C for temp and 0.1 bar for pressure. I'm using watch-grade mineral glass for the lenses. Finalising mechanical design late 2026.
The debut offering will be a triple set: voltage, oil temp, oil pressure available in white or black faces with replicated artwork for the face and markings. These will come with sensors and wiring as a complete kit.
I then hope to add fuel pressure and turbo pressure gauges to the line, all in the ultra compact 41mm motorcycle style form factor suitable for DIN mounting, so you can mix and match to build a set and they are a direct fit for all existing mounts.
Hit me up if you’re keen to road test these puppies at a hero discount and help me refine the design. Ready for beta testers Q1 2027!
Still have a way to go to achieve the design goals, but making progress. Targeting Rev0 prototypes for Christmas 2026
